PRW Awards: Givin’ up my wows

This was my first PRWeek Awards and I was thoroughly impressed. Not so much by the fact that the night went on without a glitch, or that over a thousand people were well managed and reasonably entertained. More so because of the knowledge and experience I have working as the Art Director of PRWeek.I say this because I am intimately aware of how much gets accomplished by such a small group of dedicated professionals at this company. This awards show was no exception.
That is what was hitting me as I was sitting there looking out at the sea of smiling faces; at the stage that rivaled any awards show you’d see on TV; at the production value, speed, and precision of the actual awards presentation – This is what can be accomplished when a small group of hardworking folks come together and say, “Let’s put on a show!” And a show is exactly what we got.
