The National Hot Dog & Sausage Council may promote July as National Hot Dog Month with a recently launched interactive Web site, , and even an MLB-based poll. However, a good deal of buzz is also being generated by the between Chicago-based competitors Sara Lee’s Ball Park and Kraft’s Oscar Mayer, due in part to closely-timed product launches. Also, the two brands’ points of difference are being hyped due to the hot dog heavy holiday weekend.
