ACLU hosts GLBT online symposium
This week, the ACLU is hosting a GLBT online symposium on the ACLU Blog of Rights and on the Get Busy, Get Equal blog. As Pride Month winds down, and gay and lesbian couples get married in California, the symposium will tackle a variety of issues, including the need for a federal law barring workplace discrimination based gender identity and sexual orientation and censorship of LGBT students in the nation’s schools.
In addition to ACLU staff and clients posting on the blog, scheduled participants include Air America radio host Rachel Maddow, Sirius Radio host Michelangelo Signorile, bloggers Pam Spaulding of Pam’s Houseblend, John Aravosis of AMERICAblog, Andrew Belonsky of Queerty, Donna Rose of Donnarose.com, and famous New York City drag queen The Lady Bunny.
