The Cycle

Apple keeping its fanbase

Apple’s decision to drop the iPhone’s price just months after its hyped launch definitely put the company’s brand loyalty to the test. The San Francisco Chronicle even asked a handful of iPhone owners if they felt cheated by the move. Based on their responses, it looks like the early adopters are standing by their man — Steve Jobs. One iPhone owner says:

One pays a premium to have the coolest toys on the block, so no whining here. I even had fun (yes fun!) hanging out in line eating bread, cheese, fruit, and truth be known, a very nice cabernet. If I thought this was a pre-calculated move I might be upset, but Apple also discontinued the 4G model. It appears that Apple simply watched sales and reacted quickly. I’m actually rather impressed. This is a company hitting on all cylinders.
