Report confirms popularity of online videos

Fifty-seven percent of Internet users have watched videos online and most share the videos with others, according to a report released this week from the Pew Internet & American Life Project.

Other notable findings:

- 74 % of broadband users who have high-speed connections at both home and work watch or download videos online.

- 57 % of video viewers share links with others.

- 76% of young adults (18 - 29) watch online videos, and 67 % share the links they find.

- 62 % of viewers prefer “professionally produced” videos.
