The Cycle

Fortune Radio’s a cheap date

Freakonomics author Steven Levitt writes on his blog about getting pitched to be a guest on the “FORTUNE In-Flight Radio” channel on American Airlines– for the low low price of $3,995. It’s an eerie echo of the bizarre episode, two years ago, when a show hosted by ex-football great Terry Bradshaw offered PRWeek editorial mentions for the low, low price of $29,000.

Fake editorial placements: not rare.
