When blogging crosses the line
How many journalists, those that get dressed and go to work at traditional publications, moonlight as bloggers, unbeknown to their editors and publishers? Probably quite a few.
Michael Tunison used to be one of them. Until just a few days ago he was gainfully employed by the Washington Post and blogged, using the moniker Christmas Ape, at the Web site Kissing Suzy Kolber. He outed himself on the blog in the interest of full disclosure, or so he said.
Note to bloggers: many employers tend to look down upon profanity in print, digs on management, jokes in questionable taste, and full disclosure of copious amounts of alcohol imbibed. That’s why bloggers spend so much time creating alter egos.
