The Cycle

Tantamount to censorship

Last night, the Cincinnati Bengals played the Atlanta Falcons in a preseason contest. Since it was a breezy, work-out-the-kinks affair, players were interviewed during the game. However, the Atlanta Falcons stipulated that, if ESPN were to gain access to its players during the game, sideline reporters were unable to ask any questions related to a certain Michael Vick. The result, as ESPN commentator Tony Kornheiser said, was compounding the “distraction” by ignoring the obvious. It soon deviated into an argument with Ron Jaworski, another commentator who was a former quarterback. But not before Kornheiser could rail against a policy he claimed was tantamount to censorship. Will post transcript if I find it.
