That’s one bulky bill

The early owners of the iPhone received their first bill this week and left some customers puzzled over the heavy stack of paper in their mailbox.

One particular owner, Justine Ezarik was shocked to receive a 300 page detailed document covering every text message and Internet use during the billing period, which was delivered to her in a box.

“This is so silly,” she told USA Today. “There’s no reason they need to send you this much information.”

Ezarik posted up a video online of her opening the bill which has been heavily viewed–more than 316,000 times since last Monday–displaying her sentiment over the company’s “silliness.”

Others are displaying similar thoughts:

Rob Enderle, an independent analyst at the Enderle Group, calls the finely detailed bills “stupid.”

“Not only does it cost AT&T more to do this, it just upsets customers. It’s bad business,” he says.

Hopefully they’ll learn from this first trial and the next bill that’s sent out won’t look like an encyclopedia. Click here for previous iPhone coverage.
