Online, but off?
In my previous post, I applauded Va. Tech for so quickly (once the tragedy became known to the outside world) posting stuff news updates online. But the tenor of media coverage this morning, across the board, seemed to be critical (or, at least, interrogative) of the University’s communications after the first incident. Obviously there are way too many uncertainties currently to come to judgment on that. We don’t yet know what Va. Tech’s crisis communications plan was, but we should expect every other U. in the country will be reviewing theirs this week.
