The Cycle

Now that’s accountability

No fewer than 1,000 critics have assailed corporations for neglecting to address critical situations on their Web site. The fact that I address this (with a hyperbolic figure) reinforces the stereotype that companies don’t manage their Web properties well.

So kudos are in store for the Alanta Falcons, for giving its response to Michael Vick’s embarrassing airport encounter.

Visitors to AtlantaFalcons.com are greeted with the following, square in the middle of the page.

Falcons president and GM Rich McKay spoke frankly about the incident that occurred Wednesday involving Falcons quarterback Michael Vick at Miami International Airport.

Given Vick’s history, this is going to be talked about a lot. The Falcons were smart to put themselves in that conversation immediately.
