But what about Christmas?
The holiday season is upon us. How do I know? The “War against Christmas” articles have started up again. In what will certainly not be the last article parsing the issue, CNN Money reports that Wal-Mart will return to its “Merry Christmas” greeting, after trying out “Happy Holidays” for a year. Wal-Mart spokeswoman Linda Blakley told the USA Today.
“We, quite frankly, have learned a lesson from last year. We’re not afraid to use the term ‘Merry Christmas.’ We’ll use it early, and we’ll use it often.”
So… you would expect that a trip to the American Family Association Web site would find plenty of platitudes for the big box retailer. But you would be wrong.
